The Suffolk County sheriff has arrested a man who they called a fugitive driver.

Investigators have been looking for 20-year-old Daniel Mason, of Yaphank, since he took off from a traffic stop and then crashed in Medford last week.

Police at the scene of that crash say they found fentanyl, heroin, crack cocaine, pills, marijuana, a stun gun and more than $3,000 cash inside the vehicle.

News 12 is told Mason alluded authorities for days but was arrested as he left his home Thursday.

A second person was arrested last week at the scene.
