The Nicholas Pedone 5K marked its 12th year in Glen Cove and attracted nearly 500 people.
The event is held in remembrance of the 7-year-old who died from cancer in 2013.
Proceeds from the event go toward raising awareness and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
