A Brooklyn resident has been convicted of sex trafficking in Suffolk County, according to authorities. Prosecutors say Michael Howell, 65, used drugs and violence to force a victim into participating in sex acts for money. This occurred between April 2023 and February 2024. Howell was also accused of slamming the woman’s head into a wall if she tried to refuse. He faces up to 25 years in prison when he is sentenced next month.
