Even with gas prices falling, gas in Suffolk County could go up now that the county's gas tax holiday is no longer in effect.
The tax break started in June when gas prices were around $5 per gallon.
Up until today, the holiday was saving drivers  a few cents on each gallon of regular.
Tax breaks from New York state and Nassau County are both still in effect, but they are set to expire at the end of the year.
