A Massapequa woman is facing several charges stemming from a DWI crash incident on Saturday morning, according to police.

Authorities say 21-year-old Jamy Castillo was driving drunk and struck a guard rail on Floral Avenue.

Officers placed her under arrest at the scene. While being transported to a nearby hospital by ambulance, she became combative with police and a medic.

Police say she injured one officer by repeatedly kicking them and spat at another officer.

The charges against Castillo include DWI, assault and obstructing governmental administration.

She is set to be arraigned Sunday in Hempstead.
