Students at Nathaniel Woodhull Elementary School held a moving tribute to a special dog that gives them the courage to read out loud.
Rosie the golden doodle has been a member of the school for three years. Rosie helps create a safe space for the kids to practice their reading skills.
"They have no fear of being evaluated or being judged so when they sit down to read they read for the enjoyment," says Principal Monica Corona. "The dog loves it and the students love it even more."
Students and staff raised $350 for Therapy Dogs International. The donation is in Rosie's name.
