State DEC: Another concrete block found buried at Bethpage Community Park

As News 12 has reported, the park was a former dumping ground for Northrup Grumman and 16 chemical drums have already been discovered at the park's ball field.

The Department of Environmental Conservation confirms that they found another concrete encasement buried at Bethpage Community Park.

As News 12 has reported, the park was a former dumping ground for Northrup Grumman and 16 chemical drums have already been discovered at the park's ball field.

Barrels and soil that were found in other locations near the area tested positive for contaminants.

Northrop Grumman is currently working to clean up the area.

The DEC is overseeing the work and says there is no immediate threat to the public.
