Five dogs have been removed from a home in Central Islip by the Suffolk SPCA.
The dogs were taken out of the home on Maya Circle on Monday night.
There is no word yet if the owner is facing charges or why the dogs were removed.
Investigators were going in and out of the home in hazmat suits.
News 12 has been told the dogs are now being evaluated by a veterinarian.
The SPCA says this is a criminal investigation.
