Traffic is moving again after an overturned dump truck disrupted the early‑morning commute and shut down parts of Route 1 and 9 in Rahway for several hours, officials said.

A ramp and sections of the road were closed earlier in the morning as crews worked to remove the overturned truck and clear the scene.

Newly released video shows the truck resting on its side during the height of the traffic disruption.

The closures caused significant delays for drivers during the morning commute in Union County.

Authorities said the dump truck has since been removed from the roadway.

All lanes have reopened, and traffic is now flowing normally along Route 1 and 9.
