Prosecutors have subpoenaed documents in connection with a police merger study in Nassau that's raised a lot of questions.
Sources tell News 12 that the county executive's office was served on Friday.
As News 12 has reported, Nassau County contracted former NYPD Detective Richard "Bo" Dietl for $24,000 and received a 13-page report on the feasibility of folding Freeport and Hempstead village police departments into the Nassau County Police Department.
Dietl denied plagiarizing parts of the report during an exclusive interview with News 12.
The district attorney's office and Nassau County did not have any comment about the subpoenas.
