Sen. Richard Blumenthal says he will be following the example of former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama in pledging to get vaccinated as soon as a vaccine is available.
Sen. Blumenthal met Saturday with Dr. Rohan Bhojwani as part of an effort to launch a public awareness campaign promoting the vaccine.
He says the local effort will coincide with a national ad campaign encouraging people to protect the public at large by getting vaccinated.
"I am ready and willing to roll up my sleeve and be one of the first in line because I have confidence this vaccine is going to be safe and effective," he said.
