The first Sunday of June started out with warm temperatures under sun and clouds, but some storms are moving through this evening.
News 12 meteorologists say some scattered storms are sweeping over parts of the Island, and some could be strong or severe. Heavy rain and gusty winds are possible, along with small hail.
The storms were expected to continue moving over the Island through around 1 a.m.
The National Weather Service also issued a coastal flood statement for southern Nassau, which could see some minor localized flooding around this evening's high tide.
Overnight, expect gradual clearing in the wake of any storms with lows in the upper-50s.
For Monday, mostly sunny skies will be overhead with cooler daytime highs in the upper-60s. It will be breezy with winds 15-25 mph, gusting up to 35 mph.
Tuesday will see lots of sunshine with high temperatures near 70 degrees.
