Two Long Islanders were killed in a motorcycle crash upstate by an alleged drunken driver.

Police say 23-year-old Rafaelito DeJesus and 25-year-old Melissa Rupa, both of Valley Stream, were thrown from a motorcycle when an alleged drunken driver rear-ended them on the New York State Thruway near exit 16 in Orange County at around 1 a.m., then fled.

Luis Munoz, 24, of Ossining, was arrested in connection with the crash. He faces charges of vehicular homicide and DWI.

Newsday reports that he was arrested after his bumper and license plate were left at the scene.
