Police: Suspect wanted for stealing $50,000 from 71-year-old in phone scam
Police say the suspect called the victim and claimed he worked for Amazon.

A suspect is wanted for scamming a 71-year-old woman from Woodmere out of $50,000 this week.
Police say the victim received a call from someone claiming to work for Amazon. The individual told her she owed $6,000 and said that her bank accounts would be closed if she did not take all of her money out.
The woman withdrew $50,000, according to authorities. A man then showed up to collect the money and told her he was depositing it in a treasury box. He drove off in a blue Honda.
Police say they are still searching for the suspect.
