Part of Hempstead Turnpike near Hendrickson Avenue was shut down in both directions after shots were fired in a smoke shop, according to police.

Police say the shooting occurred around 2:22 p.m.

The road has since reopened.

No injuries have been reported. The investigation is ongoing.
