Suffolk police began a search for a missing boater Sunday evening in the Great South Bay off Babylon.
They said the Marine Bureau and Aviation officers were searching for a missing 28-year-old Massapequa man.
The man is said to have been alone on a 22-foot Progression speedboat, when he fell into the water a little after 4:30 p.m.
The U.S. Coast Guard and local fire departments were also on the scene.
