A driver’s attempt to flee police ended with a crash Saturday night in North Massapequa.

State troopers say the driver sped off after they tried to pull them over on the Southern State Parkway westbound.

The suspect crashed into another vehicle along the way and then continued driving.

Police say they were arrested near Exit 31 a short time later. The passenger inside also sustained injuries.

Authorities say they are not releasing names because there were minors involved in the incident.
