Police announced Sunday the arrest of a Mastic man in connection to a fatal motel stabbing.
Detectives said 56-year-old Phillip Walker killed James Vaughn inside a room at a motel in Shirley.
As News 12 Long Island reported, the 63-year-old died at the hospital Friday night.
According to police, there was a fight that resulted in the stabbing.
Walker faces a second-degree murder charge.
He will face a judge on Monday.
