Police: Kings Park man arrested, charged for stalking Suffolk Legislator Robert Trotta

Legislator Robert Trotta reported to police that between June 16 and June 18, a white 1989 Chevrolet pickup truck parked in the driveway of his Northport home and revved the vehicle’s engine to intimidate Trotta and his family.

A Kings Park man was arrested and charged Monday for stalking a Suffolk County legislator outside his home, police say.
Legislator Robert Trotta reported to police that between June 16 and June 18, a white 1989 Chevrolet pickup truck parked in the driveway of his Northport home and revved the vehicle’s engine to intimidate Trotta and his family.
Joshua Smith, 47, was charged with stalking in the fourth degree.
He was released on a desk appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in court on a later date.
