A woman was scammed out of thousands of dollars, and police say she was duped by a suspected fortune teller in Hicksville.

Police say the 68-year-old victim gave a man $20,000 on July 3. He was working at Anjana Ji as an astrologer on South Broadway, according to authorities.

Police say the victim went back to see Hemanth Kumar Muneppa again on Friday for more fortune telling.

Police say the bill was $42,000.

Kumar Muneppa drove her to a bank down the road, according to police. Someone there told the victim it may be a scam.

The Queens man was arrested in the parking lot.
