Police say a man from Glen Cove was fatally struck by a car in Glen Head.

According to police, Jose Ruben Fernandez was crossing Glen Cove Road near Cedar Swamp Road Tuesday night when he was hit.

The 45-year-old died at the scene.

News 12 has been told the 25-year-old driver was not hurt and stayed at the scene.
