A 20-year-old man is accused of fatally striking a pedestrian while driving drunk in New Hyde Park.
The incident occurred just after midnight.
Police say 20-year-old Steven Moscatiello was driving on Jericho Turnpike near Cherry Lane when he hit a 50-year-old man from Huntington Station.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity was not released.
Moscatiello is expected to face a judge on charges of vehicular manslaughter and DWI.
