A party at a Glen Cove hall turned into a major melee with bloodshed Sunday, leaving a man recovering from gunshot wounds.

Police say up to 300 people attended a hip-hop party Saturday night at the Polski Dom Narodowy Polish National Home on Hendrick Avenue. According to investigators, a fight broke out, prompting numerous fights. A 25-year-old Hempstead man was shot in his arm and leg. Neighbor Halley Ceglia says she heard the gunshots and describes the scene as brutal. One person was reportedly hit in the head with a chair and witnesses say blood spattered the street.
