A woman was robbed at knifepoint on the Ammerman campus at Suffolk County Community College last night, Suffolk County police said.
According to investigators, the suspect, Mitchell Taylor, 32, approached a 29-year-old woman inside a building on campus at 533 College Rd. and demanded her wallet and jacket around 8:40 p.m. yesterday.
Police said the woman complied and was not injured.
Taylor fled the scene, according to officials.
Officers investigated all night and eventually arrested Taylor at his Holtsville home around 1:00 this morning.
Suffolk County police charged Taylor with one count of first degree robbery.
He is expected to be arraigned this morning.
