The Parent Resource Center in Hempstead offers the community dozens of free services.
"It's our first full year. We have developed everything in this community space," explained program director, Tracy Williams.
Some of the programs include wellness, holistic classes, money management, job placement, immigration services, gardening and much more.
"I love the yoga classes and the self-defense lessons for women," says Christine Ramkishum, of Hempstead.
The center is open five days a week for the community.
