Yoda was matched with the K-9 Unit supervisor through "Puppies Behind Bars," an organization that pairs incarcerated individuals with puppies to raise and train.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office has introduced its newest member, Yoda, a K-9 service dog dedicated to promoting health and wellness within the department.
Yoda was matched with the K-9 Unit supervisor through "Puppies Behind Bars," an organization that pairs incarcerated individuals with puppies to raise and train.
Yoda is now trained to provide comfort and support to first responders throughout the county.
As a health and wellness service dog, Yoda's role is to offer emotional support and stress relief to those in need.
