28ds agoA fisherman was bitten by a shark in Island Park Tuesday, according to the Town of Hempstead.
It happened near Shell Creek Park as the fisherman was attempting to reel in the shark.
The man had some scrapes on his arm.
Island Park and Oceanside fire departments responded and applied a tourniquet.
