Fire officials: Long Beach fire damage will require businesses to be torn down

An early morning fire in Long Beach has caused massive damage to two businesses.
Fire officials say a call for the fire at Sorrento's Italian Specialties at 255 West Park Ave. came in just after 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.
A total of 13 departments responded to the fire, which reached three alarms and spread to an adjacent store, the Nassau Fire Marshal's Office says.
The fire was brought under control by 7 a.m. and resulted in no injuries. An investigation is underway.
The flames caused such great damage that both businesses will have to be torn down, the Nassau Fire Marshal's Office says.
