Thousands of people took to the boardwalk at Jones Beach to raise money for women and children's health and mental wellbeing.
"I am so blessed to have the opportunity to be an advocate for women's health," says Megan Rasiak, of Franklin Square.
The three-mile walk was one of several held Sunday by Northwell Health.
"I came out on my crutches to show my support. There are issues that women face and I'm here to help support the cause,” says Michele McGovern.
The money will go toward research and programs at the Katz Institute for Women's Health and Cohen's Children's Medical Center.
Northwell Health has raised more than $7 million since the start of the event in 2010.
