At least a dozen protests are planned across Long Island Saturday against President Donald Trump's policies.

The nationwide movement, called "No Kings Day," are in response to a military parade set to take place Saturday in our nation's capital.

Local organizers say they expect at least 2,000 people at events in Mineola and Port Jefferson Station, and that they expect them to be peaceful gatherings.

Nassau and Suffolk police tell News 12 they have already made preparations to keep everyone at these events safe, stressing that anyone who takes part in any illegal activity will be arrested.
