The rain may have stopped, but the damage remains from a nor'easter that brought heavy rain and winds overnight.
Police say strong winds knocked down a light pole onto the southbound Sagtikos around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Several drivers hit the pole and suffered front-end vehicle damage and bent tire rims, but no one was hurt.
Other Long Island residents suffered some flooding and power outages from downed trees.
