A very special guest took to the mound for the Long Island Ducks Sunday.

News 12’s Jenn Seelig threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game!

The Ducks went on to win their fifth straight in the final matchup of a six-game series at Fairfield Properties Ballpark in Central Islip.

The hometown team beat the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars 7-1, after a thrilling 5-run first inning.

They hit the road Tuesday, before returning back home on Friday, September 11, for the final homestand of the regular season.
