A federal appeals court has made a decision on Pride flags in the Connetquot School District.
The court ruled the district had a right to remove Pride flags and stickers that three teachers had put on the walls of their classrooms back in 2022.
As News 12 reported, those teachers filed the suit claiming the policies were discriminatory and were seeking damages and a reversal of district policies.
The court decided the district did not violate their First Amendment rights when it ordered the teachers to remove them, and that they did not suffer any adverse employment actions.
