Officials at a Smithtown middle school say students had their bags searched this morning.
The move came after the superintendent says a bomb threat was found written on a bathroom wall at Smithtown's Nesaquake Middle School. The threat had the date 5-30-14, which is Friday. 
As a precaution, the school will be searched every morning before it opens. 
In addition, all backpacks will be searched before students can enter the building.
