7ds agoMolloy College hosted its 2020 Galathon Saturday honoring alumni and community leaders on the front lines of the pandemic.
During the one-hour virtual event, the college unveiled a $1 million gift from the family of Barbara H. Hagan, to establish the Barbara H. Hagan Endowed Scholarship.
It will be awarded to students pursuing an undergraduate nursing degree at Molloy College.
The family also made a donation in 2016 to establish the Barbara H. Hagan School of Nursing and Health Sciences.
The virtual gala raised $1.5 million in cash and pledges from viewers who called or texted donations.
Proceeds will benefit student scholarships.
