Molloy to host annual 2020 gala as online event, fundraiser
Molloy College is set to host it’s annual 2020 ‘Galathon’ as an online event this year.
The fundraising event is set for Saturday, Nov. 28 from 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at https://www.molloycollegegala.com/. It will honor Molloy College alumni and community leaders who have been on the front lines fighting against coronavirus.
The highlight of the evening will be the announcement of a $1 million pledge to Molloy College to create The Barbara H. Hagan Endowed Scholarship, which the nursing school is named after. The scholarship will be awarded to students pursuing undergraduate nursing degrees at Molloy.
During the event, viewers will be able to make real-time donations by calling (516) 323-4750 or texting “Molloy2020” to 51555. All proceeds will go toward student scholarships.
As a way to promote the event, the Molloy CAP21 Theater students created the video below – which draws on ‘Hamilton the Musical,’ with a unique and original rewrite of the lyrics.
