A special ceremony honoring the MIT police officer who was killed after the Boston Marathon bombing was held today during the Farmingdale 9/11 Memorial Baseball Tournament.

MIT officers were on hand today to help honor fellow officer 27-year-old Sean Collier, who officials say was fatally shot by one of the Boston bombing suspects.

Nassau police presented the MIT police department with a check for $5,000.

Money donated at today's event will go to the Sean Collier Foundation.
