News 12 has learned between 3,000 to 4,000 dead fish have washed up on Fleets Cove Beach and Knollwood Beach in Centerport.
Huntington Town officials say the massive die off is due to too many fish and not enough oxygen.
The Town is now hoping to flush the fish into the Sound.
Last month, 10,000 bunker fish were found dead near the Mill Pond bridge.
