Long Island Restaurant Week highlights: George Martin the Original, Havana Central, and Matteo's of Roslyn

Long Island Restaurant Week is underway, and every day this week News 12 will highlight participating restaurants. Today we go to Nassau County to highlight restaurants that are offering a three course meal for $35.

Long Island Restaurant Week is underway, and every day this week News 12 will highlight participating restaurants. Today we go to Nassau County to highlight restaurants that are offering a three course meal for $35.
George Martin the Original in Rockville Centre offers up cranberry almond meatballs as an appetizer. Entrée options include butternut squash ravioli, apple cider glazed Berkshire pork chop and marinated prime flat iron streak. For dessert, the restaurant offers sundaes, including a pumpkin spice gelato.
Havana Central in Garden City is bringing Cuban cuisine to Restaurant Week. The restaurant offers empanadas, ropa vieja, guava glazed ribs and pernil. Flan and churros are available for dessert.
Matteo's of Roslyn in Roslyn Heights is the place to go for Italian food lovers. They offer appetizers like calamari fritti and creamy burrata. Entrees can be chosen from grilled salmon, shrimp Luciano, linguine and clam sauce or roasted chicken.
Italian cuisine is also available at Molto Bene in Bellmore. The restaurant has artichoke hearts, zucchini linguine with shrimp and pork chop stuffed with prosciutto and cheese on their menu.
Many restaurants are also offering a $20 prix fixe lunch menu.
Long Island Restaurant Week runs through Sunday.
