Group of lucky ducklings rescued from storm drain in Yaphank

A team of Suffolk County officers responded to Belmont Circle after receiving a call that the ducks were stuck.

Suffolk County police rescued some ducklings Saturday that had fallen down a storm drain in Yaphank.
The team of officers responded to Belmont Circle after receiving a call that the ducks were stuck. They were able to get down into the drain and save the baby birds.
The ducklings soon were reunited with the mother duck and followed her to a nearby pond.
