A funeral for the Uber driver killed in a head-on collision in Quogue was held Wednesday.
Farhan Zahid, a father of three, was driving four passengers when his car was hit by a Nissan Maxima.
Three of his four passengers were also killed, as well as the driver of the Nissan Maxima, Justin Mendez.
Police released new details Tuesday saying that officers found marijuana in the wreckage of the Nissan Maxima.
They also say witnesses and a Quogue Village police officer saw the driver of the Nissan Maxima speeding.
The officer turned around, headed westbound on County Road 80, but was unable to catch up to the vehicle before it collided with Zahid’s Prius.
The National Transportation Board and state police are investigating.
Suffolk’s Medical Examiner have not released information on Mendez’s autopsy or toxicology report.
