Nassau County's retired acting police commissioner is heading back to work.
Thomas Krumpter has accepted the position of chief of the Lloyd Harbor Police Department.
He replaced Charles Flynn, who unexpectedly retired in November.
Suffolk prosecutors issued subpoenas this past spring for Flynn's time sheets and other records.
