The summer-like weather Sunday inspired Long Island residents to head outdoors and soak up the sun.
Many people enjoyed a picnic, rode a bike or caught some rays, as residents who grew tired of the dreary winter months took full advantage of an April day's summer-like conditions.
"It's just a gorgeous day and out by the water and the beach, it's just really nice," says one beachgoer.
