Friday was the deadline day for schools that had not submitted their reopening plans for in-person learning to the state.
The original deadline was July 31. According to Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office, 107 districts across the state did not submit on time. More than two dozen of them are on Long Island.
However, News 12 spoke to 15 districts that were on the list from Long Island that said they did submit the plans on time.
The districts said they have contacted the governor's office about the discrepancies.
Schools also must have public sessions with parents and teachers about plans and submit plans for testing and tracing by Aug. 21.
