President Trump's Big Beautiful Bill has a clear benefit for Long Island homeowners, as it raises the SALT deduction cap from $10,000 dollars to $40,000 for households earning under $500,000.
The bill also greatly impacts food assistance programs like SNAP and healthcare services like Medicaid.
Those were major concerns at a rally today in Port Jefferson station, where close to 200 Long Islanders came out on Independence Day to protest the bill and administration.
