East Setauket students of all abilities teamed up on the track to shower the power of working together.

Kids from each school in the district competed in several Olympic-style games.

The games were part of the district’s “Day to Shine.”

Teachers tell News 12 it allows the kids to celebrate their differences.

News 12 has been told it has become popular since it started four years ago.

Some teachers say the community members donated money for pizza and T-shirts.
