A 41-year-old woman has died following an attack in Mastic Beach that happened earlier this month.

Cheray Jenkins was taken off life support Monday, her daughter says. Jenkins was left "brain dead" after her boyfriend allegedly assaulted her on Feb. 12.

Suffolk police confirmed Saturday that a domestic incident in Mastic Beach on Feb. 12 perpetrated by 30-year-old Duntrell Thomas left the 41-year-old woman in the hospital with serious injuries.

Police say they arrested Thomas that same day.

LiveOnNY announced Tuesday that Jenkins donated four of her organs when she died. Her heart, liver and both kidneys were transported to four recipients between the ages of 30 and 70 in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Thomas was charged with second-degree assault. The Suffolk County District Attorney's Office would not say if the charges would now be upgraded.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help Jenkins' family.
