A Chaminade High School alumnus is on his way to the Final Four along with the rest of the North Carolina State Wolfpack.
Michael O’Connell tells News 12 he is confident and ready to make his hometown fans proud.
“The possibility of getting that championship and then obviously coming back to Long Island and bringing it home for everyone would be – I couldn’t even describe to you what that would feel like,” O’Connell said. “It would be an unbelievable experience to show Long Island we can do it and get it done for them.”
North Carolina State plays its semifinal game on Saturday at 6 p.m. against Purdue University.
If the Wolfpack win, O’Connell and his team would play for the championship next Monday.
