President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he will attend the first day of the Ryder Cup next month in Bethpage.
“At the invite of the PGA Tour, I will be there on Tournament Friday!!!,” he posted.
He also praised U.S. team captain Keegan Bradley in the post, calling him an “amazing guy” and said he should be on the team. If he were to play, he'd be the first Team USA captain/player since Arnold Palmer in 1963.
In a statement, Nassau County executive Bruce Blakeman said, “We are honored President Trump will be in Nassau County for the Ryder Cup. Go USA!”
The Ryder Cup starts Sept. 26 at the world-renowned Bethpage Black golf course.
