A Dix Hills man is accused of scamming a woman out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The Brooklyn District Attorney says Amedeo Ali charged a Brooklyn woman over $300,000 for a large-scale plumbing renovation and never completed it.

News 12 has been told the 46-year-old was using a plumbing license number of a legitimate plumber without that person’s knowledge or consent.

Ali is due back in court in April.
